EITC/OSTC
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has approved The Pen Ryn School as a "scholarship organization" eligible for funds through the EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) program or OSTC (Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit).
If you are a Pennsylvania business owner, you may apply for a tax credit of up to $300,000 per year in return for your contributions to The Pen Ryn School.
Businesses can receive a tax credit equal to 75% of their total contributions in one year, up to a maximum of $300,000 per taxable year. The tax credit can be increased to 90% if the business agrees to contribute the same amount for two consecutive tax years.
A 75% EITC/OSTC imparts an overall 91% effective tax credit to the business. The two-year commitment creates a 90% EITC that imparts an overall effective tax credit to the business of 100%. This is a tremendous opportunity to redirect your tax dollars to provide scholarship opportunities for students wishing to attend Pen Ryn.
Applications are administered by The Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development and processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the annual budget is expended. Applications are accepted beginning July 1st each year.
