Welcome to the Pen Ryn School

It is my great privilege to lead Pen Ryn into its 76th year, as we continue to advance our place among Pennsylvania's finest private schools. As an alumnus of the school, I know the lifelong impact of a Pen Ryn education and am dedicated to continuing to provide a strong,  challenging curriculum, in a safe, nurturing environment. My fellow alumni regularly report that the foundation they developed at Pen Ryn empowered them to confidently move forward in their academic careers. When choosing a school for my own sons, I knew that I wanted them to have the same opportunities that I had growing up, here at Pen Ryn.  Although many things in our world have changed over the years, our school community has been able to hold onto that which is important: a safe learning environment, caring teachers, and strong partnerships with our families. Our school is truly a family of lifelong learners committed to providing the very best academic program. 

At the core of Pen Ryn is the individualized nature of each child’s education. Pen Ryn believes in educating the whole child and recognizes the importance of integrating art, music, athletics, and citizenship as part of the curriculum in addition to core academic subjects. Our academics, combined with our small class sizes, foster an intimate learning environment, whereby teachers are able to nurture each child as an individual learner. By working together, our teachers make learning relevant, harnessing the intellectual curiosity of our students and believing unequivocally in the limitless potential of young people so that they can believe fully in themselves.
