Volunteer Program

Volunteerism has been at the heart of The Pen Ryn School from the very beginning, 60 years ago. Today the volunteer program provides activities, enrichment experiences, and support for the educational programs and facilitiesVolunteering is an opportunity to make a difference in your child’s school experience – as a role model demonstrating that you value education, specifically Pen Ryn. It benefits parents as well. They meet other parents and work together toward a common goal.

Enrollment at Pen Ryn includes a commitment to donating 25 hours of volunteer service, or to making a donation to the school of 10% of their tuition cost for the year. There are numerous opportunities under four major categories: Friend Raisers, Fund Raisers, Student/Classroom, and School Support. Our Volunteer Coordinator matches people’s interests with the school’s needs. Parents can record their own hours into our RenWeb Data Base system. Families who are not able to complete their commitment are billed in June.

Our Volunteer Program strengthens the sense of community and allows us to provide our students with a broader range of activities and quality educational programs.
